Challenge 116 - Halloween Sentiment

Welcome to Challenge 116
Sept 25-Oct 7
Theme:  Halloween Sentiment
[the theme is a sentiment for Halloween, NOT just a  Halloween card!]

Please, please Pleeease:  I was sooo bummed this last challenge because there were several entries that were absolutely stunning - BUT there was no sentiment. It breaks my heart to see some of that beautiful work disqualified!  I even wrote under the theme when I announced the challenge: "(make a masculine card using a  suitable sentiment)".  I noticed several of you shortened the theme in your notes to just the word "masculine" - but we ALWAYS require a sentiment [hence our name - "Aud Sentiments"].

And here are our first five designers with their take on the theme... [notice all 5 have Halloween sentiments] OK - I know, I know!  You got the message! LOL!
I encourage you to use the link to their blogs for more pictures and details on their projects - and while you are there, leave a comment for them, it makes their day!

Nice going team with those fun & creative designs!
And some great images, eh?  They are from our sponsor:
Bugaboo Stamps
We love to team up with Bugaboo, they have such a variety of cute and funny images... always something for everybody!  They have provided our DT with images to make the inspiration projects for you and of course they will provide our winner with a lovely prize.  Thank you Bugaboo!

You can submit up to FIVE entries...
so get ready, get set, GO!

Challenge 116 - "Halloween Sentiment"
runs till 10:00pm CST on Tuesday, 10/7

Winner and Top 5 for Challenge 115

Thank you to all of our participants.  We had fun viewing all of your great projects for the men in your lives.

A great big thank you for your fabulous sponsor, The Doodle Pantry

Before I announce the winner, I would like to take this time to remind everyone of our challenge rules.  We did have to discount several entries this time because they didn't follow the first rule.

We actually have very few rules but here they are:
  • As you might guess from our name - -we require a SENTIMENT!    Your sentiment needs to be appropriate for the theme/challenge.  That's it. You are not required to use anything specific, just the sentiment.  If you make a card and put the sentiment on the inside instead of the front, you need to include a picture that shows us the sentiment.
  • You can combine as many challenges as you would like. (Sometimes that is our favorite part.)
  • You can enter up to 5 times - the reason for this is that we want to come and visit all your blogs and not just rush around trying to get through the numbers - so choose your best projects!
  • If you are lucky enough to win a prize, this needs to be claimed by email by the closing date of the following challenge - otherwise we will select another winner.
  • Have fun, share your creativity!

Now on to the winner and top 5...

The winner of the challenge  is
#54 Jen L

Congrats!
Please read the following directions and complete BOTH steps to claim your prize:
1. Leave a comment on this post so we know you have read it
2. Email me before the start of the next challenge.
so I can send you details about how to claim your prize.

Challenge 115 - Week Two

Welcome to the second week of
 Challenge 115

Sept 11-23
Theme: For The Men In Our Life
(make a masculine card using a  suitable sentiment)

Before I show you the fun and creative projects
from our designers using images from Doodle Pantry...
I have a quick introduction:
We are absolutely delighted to welcome Mandy Sullivan, our newest designer!  She has written a brief bio to share with you.
Mandy Sullivan
Hi, my name is Mandy, I live in London and have been interested in making things for as long as I can remember – I grew up on the Isle of Wight and as a child there was always knitting, sewing or cooking on the go at home, and that brings back so many happy memories.  About 13 years ago I went to a Knit and Stitch show as I’d started cross stitching again, and I discovered rubber stamping and papercrafting and haven’t looked back since!  I love making cards and scrapbooking, and have a collection of digi stamps, dies and craft CDs as well as my beloved old faithful rubber and clear stamps!   Oh and I adore anything to do with Giant Pandas!
I make all of the cards that I send to friends and family (I don’t think I’d be forgiven if I sent a bought one!), I sell some to friends and colleagues and have even made wedding invites and all the bits and bobs that go with them for a couple of friends which is hugely rewarding (even if a bit stressful at times!), and always have a stash of cards at home as I just can’t stop creating!  My advice to anyone thinking about making cards – give it a go, dip your toe in, enjoy, and be prepared to be addicted!
Happy Crafting!
Mandy x
Welcome MANDY!  We are so lucky to have you!

And here is her great card - I love the simplicity, the humor, the unexpected!  You can use the link on her blog name to check out what else she is up to... and leave her [and the other designers] some love if you see something you like!
